I would never be so presumptuous as to rewrite any book ending, no matter how much I dislike or disagree with it.

That kind of disrespect for an author, any author, is unconscionable.

I am still aggrieved that George R.R. Martin has not completed writing the final two volumes that would bring an ending to the A Song of Fire and Ice series, but I’m willing to wait.

However, I’m a whole lot more aggrieved at HBO for writing that revolting ending to the Games of Thrones TV series.
