If you could erase one trend from history, what would it be?

There is a sickening trend to build data centers around the world. Currently, this madness is accelerating mainly in the U.S. because a few dodgy human-like beings have convinced enough credulous people that it’s the future.

Data centers steal (the developers’ probaby have a good laugh when they call it scraping) every bit of information they can from every source possible for storage. There is no actual artificial intelligence involved because mighty processors spit out the same useful and garbage information that they steal. The only creativity involves collating and packaging humanity’s known information to you in neat paragraphs and bullet points. Artificial Intelligence is the lie being sold.

One of the more bigoted members of this shady A.I. Club is Elon Musk. He wants to build a million of these monstrosities in space. Can we take it that he’s satisfied with the damage already done to Earth’s environment.

The disappointing display of public credulity is evenly matched by the avarice of greedy investors, mostly immoral billionaires and other wealthy miscreants, itching to cash in on this human weakness.

If by some stroke of magic we can delete this trend, we surely must. Alternatively, fire cleanses quite well.
