Bored of Peace

Clearly, Trump's shady contrivance is no Board of Peace. For anyone who believes anything of the sort, I have a bridge unscathed from bombing to sell you in Gaza. Trump has constituted what appears to be both an extrajudicial body and a Ponzi scheme. Clearly, the veiled intention is to form a climate conducive to ongoing war so that this dubious body can function in perpetuity while enriching the handful of swindlers running it.

America is sick…

It appears that America is unwilling to address one of its most pressing problems. It wants to spin it, monetise it, luxuriate in it. That heroism that the thinking world wants is hardly likely to materialise until human rights are revered more than Second Amendment rights.

Indoctrination Successes and Failures

... I am afraid that education is conceived more in terms of indoctrination by most school officials than in terms of enlightenment. My own belief is that education must be subversive if it is to be meaningful. By this I mean that it must challenge all the things we take for granted, examine all accepted assumptions, tamper with every sacred cow, and instill a desire to question and doubt. Without this the mere instruction to memorise data is empty. The attempt to enforce conventional mediocrity on the young is criminal.
